Information EasyDen handles
Accounts and profiles
You may begin with an anonymous guest account. Supabase assigns that account an authenticated user identifier, and EasyDen stores the first name you choose. A guest account is not anonymous to the service or to roommates who recognize your name or content. If you protect the account with email and password access, Supabase Authentication processes the email and authentication credentials. Email confirmation and password-recovery messages are sent through the authentication email service. The mobile app stores the resulting session using Expo SecureStore.
Guest accounts that have not been protected with email may be difficult or impossible to recover after signing out, uninstalling the app, or losing the device.
Historical Android waitlist and QR campaign measurement
EasyDen may retain email addresses that people voluntarily submitted through the previous Android launch waitlist. Those addresses are used for the Android availability purpose described when they were collected. Basic flyer campaign details, such as design, placement, and a general distribution label, may be stored with a historical signup. EasyDen does not use a waitlist email for advertising unless you separately authorize that use. Contact Support if you want your waitlist email removed.
EasyDen records lightweight first-party QR campaign events such as a landing-page view, an App Store click, a Google Group outbound click, a Google testing-page outbound click, or a Google Play outbound click. These records contain the event type, campaign labels, timestamp, and an optional random identifier created for the current page visit. They do not contain the historical waitlist email, precise location, an advertising identifier, or a persistent cross-site identifier. These outbound clicks do not tell EasyDen whether someone joined the group, enrolled as a tester, or installed the app.
Household data
EasyDen stores records needed for the household features you use. These may include:
- Household names, memberships, invitations, planned roommate places, and preferences.
- Chores, participants, assignments, completions, availability, rescheduling, and swap requests.
- Shopping items, claims, selected participants, trips, and purchase status.
- House agreements and each real member’s acknowledgement.
- Maintenance reports, initial and current severity, repair status, short update notes, and issue-specific sharing activity.
- Household activity, appreciation tied to real actions, and dismissed suggestions.
- Terms acceptance, member blocks, and private household concern reports, including a limited content excerpt when a specific item is reported.
Property maintenance connections
Property managers can add a property name and optional street address. EasyDen stores property-manager access, private expiring invitations, maintenance update history, and notification preferences. A household owner or administrator must explicitly approve connecting the home. That connection shares existing and future maintenance reports and their photos with the property’s authorized managers. Managers may have multiple properties, and one account can have both roommate and manager roles. EasyDen also stores a manager activation date used to display early-access status; opening the workspace alone does not grant property access or establish activation.
Shared maintenance information includes report titles and descriptions, initial and current severity, status, timestamps, photos, and update notes/history. The manager report view does not include a separate reporter name, email, or user identifier. Names or other personal details entered in report text, notes, or photos are still visible. Connected manager names and account identifiers are available in connection details; authorized users can also view pending invitation details.
Expenses and settlements
For shared expenses, EasyDen stores descriptions, currency and integer amounts, the payer, exact per-member shares, balances, and settlement status. It can record that a payer marked a payment sent and that the recipient later confirmed, disputed, or rejected it.
EasyDen does not connect to bank accounts, move money, or process payments. Roommates use their existing payment service outside EasyDen.
How information is used
We use these records to provide account access and recovery, sync shared household information, manage invitations and property connections, calculate expense shares and balances, track maintenance and repair updates, deliver enabled notifications, and respond to support or safety reports. Access checks and operational records help protect and troubleshoot the service.
Photos and attachments
Photos are optional and are added only when you choose a camera or photo-library action. Current attachment types are expense receipts, bilateral payment proof, and maintenance photos.
- Selected images are converted to JPEG, resized to at most 1600 pixels wide, and compressed on the device before upload.
- Receipts are available to active members of the related household.
- Payment-proof images are available only to the payer and intended recipient.
- Maintenance photos are available to active members of the related household and its explicitly connected property managers.
- Images are stored in private storage with access checks. Private image links generated by the app expire after 60 seconds; anyone who obtains a still-valid link or an already-downloaded copy may be able to view it.
The native landlord-sharing workflow sends only the selected maintenance report text. It does not itself grant app access. Separately accepting a maintenance connection gives authorized managers access to the connected home’s maintenance reports, photos, and updates. A maintenance connection does not grant access to roommate finances, balances, settlement details, chores, shopping lists or trips, payment proof, agreements, general household activity, or unrelated photos. A manager who is separately a household member retains that membership’s access.
Notifications
EasyDen stores notification preferences and in-app events even if remote notifications are disabled. With notification permission and supported device registration, it stores an app-generated device identifier, Expo push token, platform, and project identifier. Household preferences include categories, quiet hours, time zone and delivery limits. Property managers have maintenance notification preferences and a time zone. Notification events are stored for the intended recipient and may be grouped or delayed according to those preferences.
Remote delivery sends the token, notification title/body and routing identifiers to Expo and the Apple or Google push-delivery infrastructure. Delivery attempts, provider receipts and delivery errors are recorded. Notifications may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings. You can leave notifications disabled and continue to view household information in the app. EasyDen does not request notification permission immediately on first launch.
Service providers
EasyDen uses Supabase for authentication, synchronized database records, Realtime updates, private file storage, and server functions such as account deletion and notification processing. Expo’s push service and Apple/Google notification infrastructure deliver remote notifications. The public website is hosted on Vercel. Authentication email delivery and the Google-hosted support mailbox process the messages sent through them. These providers process information needed to operate their parts of the service, such as account records, uploaded files, messages, notification payloads, or technical request information.
EasyDen has no ads and does not sell personal information or share it for advertising. It does not include an app analytics or third-party crash-reporting integration. Service-provider processing and maintenance sharing requested through the app are different from selling data or sharing it for advertising. The service records operational errors and notification-delivery results to troubleshoot problems. Providers may process information outside your country.
Access and sharing within a household
Roommate data access is scoped by authenticated household membership; manager maintenance access uses a separate authorized property connection. Most shared household records are visible to active members of that household. Some records have narrower access, including payment-proof images, which are limited to the payer and recipient.
Information you add to a shared household is visible to the roommates permitted to access that type of record. A separate, private property-manager relationship grants maintenance access only; it does not create a roommate membership or grant access to unrelated household records. Household owners and administrators can remove a manager or disconnect all managers and unused invitations. Managers can leave a property. Revocation prevents new reads and photo links; previously issued image links may remain usable for up to 60 seconds, and copies already received cannot be recalled.
Leaving a household and deleting an account
Account deletion also removes property-manager access and invitations created by that account and clears that manager’s identity and notes from repair updates. Other managers and tenants retain authorized access. Property records and de-identified repair status history may remain for their use.
Leaving ends your active household access. If the departing user owns the household, ownership passes to another connected member where available. If no connected successor exists, the household and related records are deleted. Otherwise, shared history can remain. Leaving a household does not itself remove a separate property-manager role.
When in-app account deletion succeeds, EasyDen removes the user’s private uploads, notification tokens, personal preferences, reports, blocks, agreements, appreciation, and other personal content before deleting the sign-in identity. Shared expense ledger and bilateral settlement records needed by remaining members are retained under “Former roommate.” This is not the only information that may remain: shared chores can be reassigned to the remaining household owner, property records can remain, and repair updates on other users’ reports retain status/severity history with the deleted actor’s identifier and note removed. Reports created by the deleted account and their associated photo records are deleted. The retained ledger uses a new random record identifier; EasyDen does not keep an application-level map back to the deleted authentication identifier. Expense descriptions tied to the deleted payer are replaced with neutral wording.
Replacing account identifiers does not guarantee that other people cannot recognize a past action from its context or their own copies. EasyDen does not publish a fixed retention period for retained shared records. Deletion of live app records does not recall copies already received by others or establish when every provider backup or operational log expires. Contact us about a specific retention concern.
See the account deletion instructions for the available in-app path. If you cannot access the app, email taranshg.dev@gmail.com to request account deletion.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to attach photos.
- You can control notification categories and quiet hours or leave notifications disabled.
- You can protect a guest account with email access from within the app.
- You can leave a household or request account deletion from the House screen. Property managers can delete their account from the portal’s Account tab.
- Roommate records are cached in SQLite on your device so previously loaded data can be displayed offline. The app clears that account’s local cache and session after a successful deletion response. Other devices or people may retain previously received copies. Landlord portal data is kept in screen memory while online and is cleared when leaving the screen, going offline, or backgrounding the app. It is not added to the roommate offline cache. A pending maintenance invitation may be stored securely on the device until accepted or signed out.
If you contact support or request deletion by email, we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. The in-app bug-report template contains the app version and device platform, not automatically attached household records.
Security and intended audience
EasyDen uses authenticated access, household/property permissions, private image storage and protected mobile session storage. No service or device can guarantee complete security. Keep your device and invitation links secure and include only information needed for the feature.
EasyDen is designed for shared households and property maintenance, including university roommates. It is not designed for young children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information that should be removed.
